to be honest mate, you wouldn't enjoy riding your bike that much if you're more worried about getting damaged, or even a small nick on the paintjob.

there's this theory I got about 'beater', that the less you care about the bike, the more you'll enjoy riding it.

I agree, i've just bought the Cutter V3 frame so that i can have a bike i won't worry about taking a (small) beating. I know until i've dropped it and knocked it by accident a few times i'll still be careful with it!
