Can you help to identify these frames, bikes or parts?

Given the large clearances and the fact it has cantilever brake mounts I'd guess it was possibly a cross bike frame of some sort, be strange to see one with horizontal dropouts though.

I'm guessing they're not original, the rear brake hole's been filled so It's been fixified at some point.
