  • sorry for noobish thread. utfsing didn't really proove useful.

i have a benotto pista which have had a respray once. is there a way to tell which model it is, production year etc. essentially i want to know whether it is a mexican one and what tubing it is.

number in bb shall only shows size.
the tubes give a slightly different note towards the lugs when tapped with a fingernail. can't tell for sure if it's butted.

    can provide photos...

    regards

has a few catalouges. You might be able to date it by looking at the seat stays aparently he upped and moved to Mexico early to mid 80's

I would hazzard that if it has the heart shape cut out and campag forks and rear drops its an Italian one but its all been guesswork i'm afraid.

    Hope that has helped.

    cheers

    shane

  • my wifes benotto has the heart cut-out but is from 87 where production was for sure in mexico.
my pista has two rectangular cut-outs in the bb shell and some almost heart shaped ones in the lugs.

i really don't know what to look for at the seat stays...
