someone will go on manufacturing them. there's a 1970s minimalist artist called dan flavin whose art uses fluorescent bulbs.
the bulbs he used are no longer manufactured by the original company, so the estate of dan flavin has started making them. the bulbs originally sold for about $10 each. but now flavin owners can buy them for several hundred dollars (depending on the colour).
Much like when analogue keyboards got phased out only to resurface a decade latter as super expensive collectors items - there is an opportunity for someone to stock up on incandescent bulbs - and sell them at outrageous prices in the future.
People could buy them for special occasions like dinner parties and moth baiting.
