• I've got a little collection of parts which I bought for various projects and decided not to use.

First up are these Shimano PD-A550 aero track pedals and clips. Bought them off the forum, replaced the plastic clips with new metal ones (from Tour de Ville) then decided to go with the old MKS pedals. All thread are in perfect condition, and the bearings spin well. The plastic clips are included but PLEASE NOTE the straps are NOT included. £25 SOLD

Cinelli 1A quill stem 140mm. Good condition, some marks but still shiny shiny - and faaar too long for me. £13

Pair Campagnolo Athena brake calipers (no pads). Excellent condition, classic shape. £25 SOLD

Campagnolo Record rear hub, 126mm OLN, for screw on freewheel, 32H, with Campagnolo QR. £15 SOLD

    Eddy Merckx road frame -

    Seat tube 50 cm C2C, 56cm C2T
    Top Tube 52cm C2C
    Wheelbase 95cm

Columbus tubing - according to my research on this model (says "Cima 2000" on the TT) this is a Scandium-Aluminium alloy frame. This material is supposed to be as light as aluminium yet as comfortable as steel - some comments on Scandium frames on this thread. I can't confirm how it rides as it's about 10cm too small for me tho. It was bought by my flat mate at this shop in Edinburgh in 2003. It is a copy of a team issue frame - not sure which one mind. It cost about £400 new for f+f. It is a great little frame - aero tubing, really light, chromed fork ends, tapering stays and really smooth welds - if that's what they are, they look more fillet-brazed to me.

There are a number of small chips to the paint, but all small and there are not many of them. I would give the paint-job a 7/10.
The 1" threaded headset is included - only a Shimano mtb one, but it works!

    PLEASE NOTE THE VERTICAL DROPOUTS.

For frame, forks, headset, down tube gear runners and seat pin: £150

It will make a brilliant road machine...just in time for summer...

Let me know if I've missed any info, and feel free to make offers, although I think these are fair prices and I need the cash!

Paypal is fine, with the payment as a gift. I'm happy to post the small items and the frame at cost if I really must. I'm in SE22 if you want to have a look at the frame.

  • Dibs on the Pair Campagnolo Athena brake calipers
    thanks a lot

  • sorry jonlubi,
    saw the wrong price,
not 15 quid, it's my fault,
    and I'd cancel this dibs,
    thanks again.

  • Sorry 'bout that. I've moved the prices to more sensible positions! And dropped the price on the Athenas - think I went too high...

  • pm'd re campags

  • ^ brakes sold.

  • PM-ed re: Campag hub

  • PM-ed pedals

  • Pedal and brakes sold.

    Hub 99% sold.

If you had really short legs and long arms you could buy the frame and stem together and enjoy a 10% discount

    :)

  • Price reduction on the quill stem: £13

  • Man, that frame's really tempting but I'd get killed if I bought another bike... plus I'm too far to collect.... fortunately for me.

  • It's fine, I can post it.. It's very light too, and so small it would fit under a single bed.

  • By the time I'm in a single bed it won't matter anyway... ;)
I'll keep thinking about it but to be honest I can't justify spending money on a build at the moment after all the money I've thrown at various other things... If I sell my BMX then maybe I'll get in touch.

  • Know the feeing :(

  • Is the stem still avalible?

  • Yes, the stem is still here. You are first in line.

FYI the frame is now on Bikeradar as well - if that's against the rules I'll take it down, altho I couldn't see anything in the rules about that.
