Hi all. Just joined this week after lurking for a couple of months. I'm an old fart (58) returning to fixed after a 5 year lay off following a nasty head injury - work related not bike. Been riding fixed since the 60's - mainly as a training bike - with a history of road/endurance/24 hour. The injury screwed up my balance mechanism initially but now things are sorted.
Noticed lots of people riding fixed and started looking at getting back into it. Found this place and have got up to speed with all the amazing info on here. Collected a heap of bikes and tools over the years but sadly sold them off after the accident as I was told I would not be able to cycle again.
Been riding a junk hybrid for a year to get the motor skills back and have now decided to buy an off the peg fixed to see how I get on. Fingers crossed!
Damn, the Polo looks fun.....
