  • Pickled or soaked? Eww. Who do you take me for? Fresh, locally sourced (about quarter of a mile away?) beetroot grated into stock and slowly transfered into the rice. Then some mascarpone, butter and parmesan melted into the mix, dollop of extra mascarpone on top and a bit of dill = WIN:

    Could be if you stick a bit of horseradish & Thmye or dare i say finely shredded ginger & parsley in there, and use fresh roasted beets not pickled of soaked. fk all flavour.
    roast them with the thyme and add at the end and you are laughing (between mouthfuls as we are not chavs)
