eBay and Craigslist finds

Hello, can someone help me find a nice bike for someone who is 5'8", I want a nice pretty bike that I can cycle in France with. Prepared to spend upto around £200. Anyone had any problems buying off ebay?
I'm in the West Midlands and would prefer to be able to pick up the bike in person. Please help me find one :)
