Now that's a blast from the past for me! 3 years ago, as part of my uni course I had to design the drivetrain for a human (pedal) powered aircraft. As a group we had to design the whole thing, but since I was the only one who vaguely knew anything about bikes I was on the drivetrain. I knew nothing about road bikes back then, only having ridden BMX so I just googled carbon fibre cranks thinking there must be something vaguely light out there. That was one of the first hits on google images. That photo really impressed some of my lecturers.
