this was the best raeligh that was not a professional (custom ) model - i've been told (i can't find the 89 catalogue so can't confirm.) the bike was designed around the group asthetically white frame and grey pearl lugs - just the like the components.
around 56cm on top tube, 653, full sante equipment - headset, calipers, mechs, hubs, levers, shifters, cogs, cranks and rings (biopace). sante was positioned between 600 and dura ace of the two years it was made - pearl white and grey - very new age.unusual design on chainrins - etched brick pattern, rear of pedal threads are enclosed and bolts screw in from rear on the chain rin - giving the mirror finish to outside - crank bolt covers and chainring bolts - very slick
pretty standard - except the (NOS) 27.2 seatpost and the rear skewer is not Sante - i'm pressuming that's the OEM saddle - a little knackered but it's there and usable.
gitane dropouts (horizontal on rear for fixed conversion if need be)
14 speed indexed
need touching up aroun d the frame - especially where the cable has rubbed on headtube - see pic, and needs touching up in other areas too - there is some flakingon the crank paint on the end of one (polish this off is my advice). ideally the whole thing needs refurb or touching up.
alex alloy eyeletted twin skinned rims tyre OK
everything's full working order except i can't move the stem - (i'm including almost identicl item to replace with)
the cull continues
