looks like it's in remarkable condition, I must say - really well cared for, the only thing it's calling out for is some nice pedals with christophe clips/straps.
when I first got mine I thought of going fixed/ss, even took the trouble to source a 27" rear wheel with double Airlite hub, but in the end I couldn't bring myself to do it. glad I didn't, would have been a travesty!
I'm slowly doing other things to it though - Brooks narrow B17 (dark brown) and matching leather bar tape, Cinelli stem and Ambrosio bars with a slight randonneur-style flair... am I trying to hard?
Thanks mate, I struggled with letting the Competition go as I've languished alot of TLC on it. It rides terrificially well, especially on the new wheels.
The Carlton means something has to go, so sadly the Raleigh is it!
