Thread Display Position

When I click any thread, it seems to scroll to an arbitrary position on one of the pages.
Is there any way I can make it just got to the first post?

Just click on the little 1 below the thread.

Still puts me halfway down the page or something.
At least I have my health I suppose.

the logic takes you to the place where you left off last reading the thread

if you have read up to post number 53 on a thread the nextr time you enter that thread it will automatically take you to post 54 ?

I think when you click on a long thread you have been to before, but not for ages,you go to one week back. Or something like that.

Well, since you refuted everything I think the only reasonable explanation left is that you're jinxed.

If you have not read the thread before it will take you to the oldest post that week. Hit the little one to get back to the very beginning. Once you have mastered this you will find that life itself will become so much more worthwhile.
