I don't understand how this works. How does it parse the data from the classified adverts? The examples you've given seem to vary in how well / what they interpret from the adverts.

True, it is work in progress. Without going into too much detail, I'm building up an ontolgy of bike parts so I can do better identification and that is why I need the model lines separate.
You are right, it is patchy at the moment but I can work well. Here is an example of it: http://lenni.info/tools/gate/xml-output/thread24899.xml
If you are really interested in it I can bring my laptop to one of the drinks and show you how it works.

Yeah, that's what I was looking at. I noticed that some adverts included prices, others had 'handover' text, and other just had a list of parts; so I wondered how it was deciding what was what or whether there was some manual intervention. Interesting nevertheless, good work.

It's fully automatic and sometimes it doesn't understand things. Natural Language Processing is very much an open research topic and even the very best teams from the big universities have a 60-80% success rate (admittedly on more complex topics).

- Xenon (10)
Campagnolo also offers 3 triple chainring offerings for steep hill-climbing. Ordered from the highest to the lowest quality, these are:
- Comp Triple (10)
- Race Triple (10)
- Champ Triple (9)
SRAM - 2009
In 2006, SRAM released two groupsets for racing bicycles, aimed at competing with Shimano and Campagnolo's offerings. The top SRAM groupsets are called 'Red' and 'Force', being the pro-level and amateur racing level lines, respectively.
It is worth noting that SRAM has trickled down it's technology at an accelerated rate to compete, and the 2009 production groupsets feature several upgrades.- Red (10)
- Force (10)
- Rival (10)
Hi,
I'm currently writing a piece of software for my thesis that extract information from this forum's Classifieds section, catalogues it and makes it searchable.
I need your help on a sorta comprehensive list of groupsets and model line names so I can populate my wordlists. This would also need to include common abbreviations and nicknames which should be put on the same line, separated by commas.
It should include product lines from all ages, not just current stuff.
If you could just add to this list, that'd be great.

If you are interested in how it is going you can see the XML output my app is producing here: http://lenni.info/tools/gate/xml-output/
