BB is nice and smooth. £20 to replace if you ever need to. You don't have to fuck about with crank pullers and they give (me) a perfect chainline.
I wouldn't say they're as stiff as some very stiff things, but they're very stiff indeed. Stiffer than a lot of other things - I'm very satisfied with the stiffness. Overall I would say - Yes, they're very stiff.
