I still don't understand why 48 spline bmx style BB axles or a similar crank arm/axle interface hasn't been introduced into road bikes/fixed etc etc.
So bloody strong in comparison to all of the above mentioned, surely there is a market for road/track style cranks that aren't as crazy heavy as bmx cranks and fit using this system, I envision something along the lines of a chromoly steel sleeve in the spline contact areas on the crank arm?
Out of the above I would only go square taper personally, all the others look weak as a chocolate teapot.
