  • On a cassette with several gears yes...but when you only have 3 gears there's not much point having them too closely spaced. Your legs will adjust quickly enough because if the terrain has changed dramatically you'll need to be the equivalent of a couple of gears higher or lower to maintain a similar cadence anyway.
