it's a weightweenies wank bike. it's sole purpose is to be weighed and compared to other weightweenie wank bikes on the weightweenies website. it's not actually meant to be ridden.
actually it's not that light maybe it's just meant to be expensive for an otp frame and a bunch of parts? a kind of 'how expensive can i make my bike' bike.
would rather have a custom parlee or calfee if i wanted carboneach to his own an all that
*disclaimer. other types of bike that float your boat are available no matter how irrational your emotions towards it are. -

Ldn Girl - i am only messing, we all started somewhere - the Hublot BMC is more marketing ploy than anyything else, but it sure as hell looks the bizniess to moi
I actually think the Goff is about the only bike i have seen which those bars look good on

No - just seeing the amount you post i would have though you were an expert by now!
to be fair they are not her posts, they are old ones borrowed from Ed that he had left over from last year.

Pssht I don't really give a shit about the tiny weight saving stuff, I just love the BMC skeletal seat tube cluster and I think the bike as a whole looks pretty slick.

that's o.k the joke is on Ed not you.

it's a weightweenies wank bike.
I thought that when I saw the look and the price, but as you say it's 6.9kg, which doesn't even qualify for inclusion on weightweenies. Under 6.8 only, unless you can qualify it with excuses like being cheap, having fat tyres for P-R or some such. I can't see where £12k has gone on that build
Frame: BMC SLT01 £1899 RRP (£1235 @ Wiggle)
Wheels: DT Carbon RRC Aero £2900 @ Parkers (should have had Lightweights for that!)
Saddle: Selle Italia SLR Kit carbonio Flow £139 @ Parkers
Groupset: Campagnolo SuperRecord 11-speed £1575 @ Parkers
Pedals: Speedplay Nanogram Titanium £450 @ Parkers
Bars & Stem £500 tops
Conti GP4000 tubs £122 @ Parkers=£7585
BMC paint schemes might be shit, but I still wouldn't pay an extra four grand to get them to leave the paint off!

Scott new TT bike, it's not often I see those stem/frame combination on bicycle nowadays;
too much sticker as usual.
-
• #17989
oh yeah I love that thing ^^
possibly the only TT bike that isn't ugly enough to rip your eyes out and slice them into lemon juice.
but oh god, the horrible typography, when will they ever learn shakes head -

I'm trying to see why Pistonator!!??.I mean, the dustcaps match the rim stickers. :o)
I'm not gonna get involved with slating other peoples bikes any more, not good for the soul but there's plenty going on there....

To be honest, the Steve Goff isn't porn really, after all the only thing porn about it is merely the lovely frame.
+1
The frame is spot on - the 'build', I'll say no more

too much sticker as usual.[/quote]stealth black means your logo doesn't show up on the TV/magazine pics. which is the reason you built the bike and paid the athlete to ride it in the first place.

TT bikes seem to be going though a particularly good phase at the moment, having fully embraced Star Wars chic.

http://i476.photobucket.com/albums/rr125/SOAR60/Picture4.jpgAlso found this at the Assos site. First carbon framed bike and first use of bullhorns from 1976. Has the Assos pedals which are about the nicest traditional pedal I have ever seen. Shame they stopped making bike parts because they where always spot on.

I don't know how to put the images from FGG on so here's the link.
I know its come from the anti-thread, but IMO this is heavy - good idea, attention to detail, all the components work well together... basically fulfills its purpose.

How much longer must we wait? I really want the gold one. :(

that'd be the only thing you need for your BMW Tourer, I'm dying for one on my bike too, I like to tackle the Pyrenees but with a singlespeed fixed wheel it would be inept to do so (even with two independent brakes).
let hope they come in close ratio too than granny gearing.
-
• #17998
The jumps are fairly big...but then on a 3 speed fixed i'd prefer that...you only really need to change gear when there's a significant change in gradient either up or down.
-
• #17999
isn't the change usually important to keep a good cadence?

Oi, you coming down today?
That BMC is schwiiiiiiiiiing, ultimate stealth bike.
