not wishing to piss on your parade, its a nice looking saddle for sure but...it looks plastic by the sheen on the pic of the top, plus a hint of the grain of the cloth under the surface. You'd tell for definite if its leather by the reveals on the underside where the underneath of the material is exposed. Leather is more usually glued, rather than stapled.
From the look of the lack of the material being pliable where the cover's fitted underneath, it looks like plastic- I could be wrong!
The type of material would affect the price..........
Maybe worth a check? I'm sure you hate a punter to come back at you for wrong description

No problem mate, I'm more than happy for someone to tell me if i've got it wrong.
The cloth is glued the majority of the way round the bottom. What would i be looking for on the underside of the material to define whether it be plastic or leather?

if its a cloth backing to the surface, and not suede, then its plasimodo
the smell of plastic has fooled me in the past.....now a previous g/f could tell at a distance on plastic/leather and quality, and what animal the leather came off, and where it was cured.....it was rare for her to touch the leather to check! My collection of leather jackets aren't good material :-((((

Another one of those things taking up space when i'm never gonna have a use for it!
Got no real idea on price, but it is a very nice seat, in which i believed to be real leather (well it smelt like it anyway), but is apprarently faux. It's brand new and only taken out of the bag for the pics.
So offers around the £40 posted mark?
