...the chap with piercings (not on a fg/ss) but worth mentioning his lack of spacial awareness on his bicycle. desperate to overtake everyone and going into the back of a lorry this morning on Clerkenwell Road. Well done Sir, how is your face?
I'd just like to make it clear that this WASN'T me....maybe Object, sounds like his riding style. :)

Tell him he needs to lock his bike.. even when parked down there. I coulda zipped away with it without raising security's eyebrows.
Sounds as if they've got a bit resigned to you nicking bikes from there. ;)

I was thankfully not involved in the peloton...was idling at some traffic lights on Lambeth Road when you all swept past. To shout 'do a skid' would have been inappropriate...

I did it on the road bike- it gets to go out so infrequently that it would have sulked otherwise.
Took two hours and forty five minutes, which I was happy with- arrived at twenty to twelve.
However I was pretty much blown by that point, which was annoying- I think I went out too hard, then had not much left at the end, which was inconvenient as the last fifteen miles had an evil headwind.
It was fun, I'll do it again next year.
Took all day as part of a social group, had an hour's lunch and then a couple of pints of cider at the Barge(?) to make the last 15 miles of headwind that little bit harder -It was a muthafucka.

Saw this on a fixed gear blog:
"I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailleur? We are getting soft... As for me, give me a fixed gear!" --Henri Desgrange, 1902
This is Fucking Great.
Nice find !Nhattattack!. -

Hmm could say that!
I haven't spotted anyone riding fixed for ages on my commute, even though it's down the hipster highway including Clerkenwell Rd... only person I saw today was on a singlespeed Plug, and I was riding in at a normal time for once (about half 8)
Did the London Lite successfully kill it off or something?
