I'm the same height as you. It's pretty discrete build too.
In clapham common if you want a look/test ride.

The wheels and cranks were on a langster I commuted on. I put the saddle on a month ago and haven't ridden it other than a quick blast around the block.
I bought the frame with the intent to build and sell as I had a few half hearted attempts to sell the langster with zero success.
I built it on Thursday, other than a shakedown ride around the block it's not been ridden.
I've only room for one road bike (as I have a good MTB and a shopper with a kiddie seat on) and am spending most of my time on a lovely old geared Raleigh.
If i had the room I'd keep it as it's built with lots of good kit, has fixings and room for mudguards, and would make a great year round commuter.
You're very welcome to come around and have a look, a test ride and a cuppa.

5' 11" is a bit big for a beginners single speed. Id recommend one of these:

might be a bit shiny for a dircreet bike?
I have to lock up on the street at London Bridge so I'm looking for something discreet :)
Other than that I'd consider anything really, so long as the price is under £300.
Cheers.
