  • Regarding the slippage issue with the Hope bracket, I figured the problem was that it's only the rubber inserts (std or O/S) actually contacting the bar.

    I've had no more slippage issues since chucking away those rubbish inserts, and just using regular rubber/plastic shims - the kind you get with loads of other accessories e.g. Cateye lights/computers. But any strip of rubberish material will do. The bracket then exerts a gripping force almost all the way around its circumference.

    Regular bar tape also works as a shim.
