take em to a cobbler, its probably the loop side of the velcro which is dead, they should be able to un-stitch the old stuff and replace it.
Also I've heard of someone getting dominators re-soled at a cobblers using a srs (sole replacement system). So not as easy as dragons to fix but not impossible.
