Spare tyre is in the bag at all times- trying to get the most use out of the tyre as possible.

Looking enviously at other peoples tyres that seem to wear down more evenly- my Refuse has just thrown the tread off exposing more and more canvas.

Until you get a puncture from skidding. Don't carry a spare tyre, carry some strips of milk carton and some duck tape. Fix ride to destination, buy tyre and swap.
