cyclone
you dont have a clue
my taxes pay for my right to be on the road
people pulling out onto the road need to pay attention and he clearly was not, luckily i was paying attention, hence i shouted and he did not hit me
At the end of the day you have to understand this from a drivers perspective.
I pay road tax, you don't.

can anyone be bothered to do this again?

Cyclone, are you here simply to wind people up. Can you point out how you pay road tax? Roads come from general taxation. You pay vehicle duty, as do many other people on this forum.

Roads are paid for by central government and local authorities. The 'tax disc' fees you pay to keep a car on the road pays for the DVLA. Get your facts straight. Thus, everyone pays for roads, whether they use them or not, and regardless of their mode of transport. Also, please clarify what public order offence dancing james is guilty of?

You don't pay 'road tax', rather you pay Vehicle Excise Duty, from which bicycles are exempt.
Now fuck off.

Hi all, been browsing the forums for some weeks now but this post has prompted me to finally sign up and begin posting.
I'd like to say I don't that you handled the situation very well, in fact your behaviour was quite out of order.
To be frank, I personally would have pushed for a public disorder charge on you, no matter how much scotchlite you had on you should always be looking for cars pulling out, after all they have paid for the use of the road.

This has happened to me twice recently - a scooter tried to run me off the road, and then demanded i got off and fought him - reported to the police but no action as i had no witnesses. Then a van who tried to squeeze over the speed bumps by S.Polo with me, also tried to run me off the road, and then wanted a fight so 'he could kill me'.
I am also called James, and seem to attract these 'types' - co-incidence, i think not?!
