if you're 5'10 you'll probably need bigger, 56 or even 58 ctt, measure your inside leg by shoving a book between your legs as hard as saddle would press, mark that off against the wall (no shoes) and measure to the floor, I think you multiply that by 0.88(someone will correct if this si wrong) to get a guide to frame size (ie seat tube size centre BB to top).
A better method is to multiply your inside leg measurement by 1.09. This will give you a good starting point for saddle to pedal distance. Subtract length of cranks and saddle/seatpost combined. and voila.
