Well it's not me that's kept it going really, my attendance has been patchy since February.

I think it has to be said that bristlypioneer, if anyone, has really kept this going, always posting and bringing his boombox.. the weeks he and it haven't been there he and it have been missed and he's quietly always been the man in the background, slinging the security a couple of beers here, a bag of bagels there; it's got its own feet now and seems to be a weekly fixture people will be rolling up to for some time.

Seb and Jol were the guys who made the idea work by keeping the thread going last year when the initial interest had peetered out and I was out of London, they got the night decided on and the place, so they were as much the organisers of this shizzle. But loads of people have turned up week after week and been the real trixie crew and it's been wicked, specially on what was probably the coldest night of the winter when 25 or so people were up there practicing. It's true that some people have come to trix who otherwise wouldn't have come out of the woodwork and they've become part of the wider community through it, and there's a good few hombres I only ever get to see down there and in that sense it's been more than we'd imagined.

I think lots of people have ignored the tricks side of things riding fixed and fair enough, not everyone thinks they're useful. But the massive crowd that had gathered at trafalgar on the first compass ride showed that it's fast become an "in" into fixed gear riding and a bunch of people have been coming down to the car park regularly on a Tuesday over the last year. For us it's become a little bit of London in itself, a nicely kept secret that has now spread beyond the forum. It's great and anyone who thinks they might like to learn a few tricks so they can have a laugh with their bike should come down, it's really a great night and the don daddas practice stuff alongside the doofuses. Hats off to the very very understanding security who have never owed us a thing and yet have been very obliging letting us traipse up there to goof around.

As I feared I can't be there tonight due to work commitments so I hope everyone has a great time.. cheers Rob and Sano for getting a birthday night together, hope it's a great night.
