Why not combine it with something popular like the bridges ride? Start a bridges ride thread saying that this one's going to be filmed and that participartion is implicit acceptance of being filmed...
A few people with cameras, couple in with the group (s), one going along the south bank getting stationary shots (set up by bridge - shoot - rush to south end of next bridge... or posibly the one after) and one on the north side. Do a few interviews at the start and end.
there's loads of people who are happy to handle camera's (both still and moving)... then it would be just the nightmarish process of editing out the shit :-)
