Are bankrupt any good?
Never heard of them before :/ and can't find any info on them. -

it's an ebay shop who sell new and used products.
i've got a similar set of wheels from the chap. brand new, same rims/different hubs and they are very well put together.
been riding mine for 3 months, no troubles. still perfectly true. -

Thanks for the heads up, but i'd prefer a more popular, tried and tested brand though. That's why i was asking on here; thinking i could get a relatively good make of wheels, second hand, within my price range.

You will probably get close, but you may have to wait for the right set to come up.

Yeah i know. I've been looking around the forums and have seen a couple of good sets already sold though. Will have to trawl the forum for a few days and see if anything pops up.

Thanks Danewesley, i saw that set the other day actually, thinking they were quite reputable. Northwich is only afew miles or so from where i live aswell!
I could afford these, but i have a budget of £150 to spend on parts and there are afew things that are on my 'urgent list'.
Would these be better than a Charge dish wheelset for example? They would be my higher priced option. -

This might be a pointless post but...got an old wheelset from my lbs paid £120 brand new, unsure what make they are. rear is fixed/free, the only snag is the threads on the fixed side shredded a bit so you wouldnt be able to ride fixed. probably not but would they be of any use?

what other parts do you have to buy with your budget?

Thanks mattp88 but i was after a fixed hub really, the single speed would be for occasional use.
Dane, i am building up my dad's old bike into a fixie. I am wanting a pair of bullhorn bars, inverse/TT levers, brown bartape (preferably leather)and a brooks b17 saddle. I would also like some cleats/strap pedals, if cleats i would need some shoes, and finally i need a pair of glasses. I will be selling my mountain bikes at a later date to raise extra money for the latter parts (straps, glasses, cleats/shoes) and any of the others if i run out of money. -

Be carefull with the bankrupt stuff, there's nothing wrong with them but they don't usually come with wheel nuts, rim tape or lockrings and by the time you've added the price of those on top there are better wheelsets out there for the money.

Hmm, that's annoying!
It had finished at £31, could've saved £19 there cause it's only 9 miles down the road.
I'm thinking about getting a charge spoon saddle now, as i ride in the wet alot and apparently, like most leather, the brooks squeaks.
Still looking for a wheelset, will take just a back wheel if anyone has one. Although i wouldn't want to spend £60 on the one wheel if i could help it.
Thanks for that Jones, i thought there might be abit of a hitch.
I'm looking for a pair of 700c wheels, with a fixed/free setup on the rear. Able to spend around £70 for both.
I'm up in the northwest, so unless you live near, the wheels would probably have to be posted. Thanks.
