Yeah usually 'road closed' is brilliant - means you're allowed a glimpse into the paradise that commuting to work with no traffic would be.

If you're on a bike or on foot, and you're commuting, you are traffic.
I know that's what you meant, of course, so I hope this doesn't come across as silly nitpicking. It's just that it's worth avoiding falling into the easy trap of using 'traffic' to mean 'motor traffic' and to implicitly signal that that's the only recognised form of traffic.
