Checked my 151bcd pista cranks which have to be getting on for 40 years old and they had the cracks, but really very slight. Not bad considering their age and how battered they are. 10 minutes with a needle file and the cracks are gone and the area is flattened up.
Filed down, this was as in focus as I could get.
