i had to be dragged to see blur last week and still managed to resist complaining about being clonked on the head by a half full (i'm essentially positive) bottle of beer.
i had a lovely moment yesterday when was sat in a car being driven by a mate who's taste in music is more "xfm" than mine when oasis came on the radio. they played 2 tracks back to back. i sat there in silence as wonderwall grated on and on. i was surprised to find it even more annoying now all these years later than i did at the time when it was utterly ubiquitous. i noticed whole new levels of annoyingness that had hitherto passed me by. then as some other piece of reapproriated, cliche-ridden, cod-anthemic drivel dribbled out of the speakers i was just beginning to really enjoying rediscovering my glowing hatred of them when my mate turned to me and said, "what exactly is the point of oasis". i did a lol.
