I was cycling in Paris before cycling in London, I agree people drive dangerously everywhere, but I always felt that people were driving differently from London.
In London people seem to accelarate a lot and go fast immediately after green lights, when it is a bit cooler on that aspect in Paris... Saying that, once gone, they go as fast as here... I'd say too that they are more unpredictible in general, bit more "anarchic". In London people seem to use their indicators more, despite this weird but strong tradition that consists in puting it on almost when turning, which does not help anticipating of course...
Just my feeling on that, but people can have a different experience...
Also I noticed something in the video, there is a zoom onto the goverment web page where it says that you HAVE to use cycling lanes if they are present, I did not know that was the case in France...
Since January 2009, it is also mandatory to wear a Helmet and a high visibility jacket, I don't know if people respect that, and if they get fined if they don't...
