I've got a pair of MKS AR-2 pedals with single straps on Dura Ace cranks. The straps are rubbing against the crank arms, which wasn't a big deal when I had leather straps, but now I've changed to nylon straps they let out an annoying squeak.
Is it just AR-2 pedals that have this problem, or all pedal setups?
looking at the AR-2 pics it seems due to them being so wide that the inner part is very close to the cranks.
I had the problem with MKS own GR-9, but not with their Sylvans. I changed because they were eroding the cranks — and I too couldn't put up with the squeak.
the problema with the GR-9 was a bit different than yours though: they're super narrow, but for some reason they also sit really close to the cranks.
