I saw this on your website, and drooled a little.
I'm glad I have no time for projects this summer. -

hey Tiswas - can't remember the frame number, I'm at work right now, but it got me to within the range '58-'63 I think... have to say I didn't spend a whole lotta time on it but did find this useful Grubb history page:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/nkilgariff/FreddieGrubb.htmThe headset is some cheap s*** modern thing, shouldn't be on there IMO! Haven't measured the actual steerer but looks like it should be OK with old Campy or suchlike.
The seat tube decal is the crossed Italian and chequered flags, but couldn't say if it is correct or not because of the respray. The head badge is the man on a bike... there's more pics here if you are interested:

Apologies for separate thread (to Daccordi) but this deserves its own as it is a completely different beast. Impulse buy on eBay, got carried away with the idea of a vintage track bike as old(er) as me... but it's not really my thing now I have it, so again hoping it can go to an appreciative forumonger. Yours for bargain price of... £195
Late 50's/early 60's, 21 and a quarter by 22 and a half inches in old money, 54.5cm x 57cm C2C. Would be 531 tubing, lovely Nervex lugs. 110mm rear spacing. 26.4mm seat post. Pictured with 700c wheels, would obviously take fatter tyres, would also probably take 27" wheels but don't have any to try. The advert below explains the dual purpose design - day to day transport that takes mudguards and you can also use on the track. Drilled for rear brake (original) but front fork is not original though suits the bike. As such it is not drilled but easily could be, has pilot holes both sides. Also missing the front m/guard mounts but they could be added if required. Unused since respray with new decals, original head badge. A few scratches and marks from storage but overall very good. Small dent in non-drive chainstay but cosmetic and under new paint (why didn't they fill it - duh?). The true colour is more greeny-blue than appears in photos, I have attached a 'swatch' that is nearer the correct colour, but it's very attractive. More than can be said for the headset which is not included in case you are tempted to leave it on.
