I just don't see what's so revolutionary about some hipsters doing a few thousand miles fixed? The TdF used to be competed on fixed geared bicycles FFS.
I dont think its seen as revolutionary, just something very hard that isnt done very often. The tour de france was riden on fixed but by professional cyclist. From what I can tell the Mash guys are not (although i remember them saying there was one guy who came along with them that was.) Just because these guys are young and love riding fixed they get labeled hipsters, whatever that means. People should appreciate what they do. I can't help but think some peoples attitude is a bit ignorant and maybe a bit jealous when it comes to this kind of thing
