Unipack / Create / Sports Direct singlespeed track bikes?

I have a hard time believing that someone who claims to be a mechanic can say that these bikes are mechanicly sound, given the large number that we get coming into our shop for...oh...everything going wrong on them.

My favorite was the guy who hopped off a curb at a funny angle and bent his forks out.

I doubt many road bikes (remember the unipack/create is a ss/fixed roadbike) would take very well to being hopped off curbs.
It's a cheap bike for riding around on, not a jump bike ffs.
