Wheel builders?

Can anyone tell me where the best place to get a set of wheels built in Leeds would be?
I've been to talk to the man and his shedful of Russians (recycle engineering) and I know that bikology does builds for the same price (£20 per wheel), I was just wondering which out of the two would be best or if there were any other good options?

Is it worth the extra money though? From the looks of their workshop price list, it'd cost me 60 quid to get a set built up, whereas the other places Iv'e mentioned would only charge me 40

hmmm £60 is pricey but they will build very strong wheels. Speak to Steve the owner and ask for a fixed gear leeds discount!

I emailed them the other day, price is 60 including spokes so not too bad after all. Ill give the discount a try though, cheers.

I haven't been yet, I'm still waiting for my rear hub, its still out of stock with the distributors at the minute. Hopefully it'll arrive soon though, and once the wheels are built up Ill be ready to ride.
Ill let you know if the discount works out.

I had a wheel build from Bob Jackson, was expensive and the quality wasn't great..

Thinking of going edinburgh cycles as it's half price all month.. Anyone been there?

Woodrup did me a great set a while ago. Heard below average things about Bob J's.

Bob Jackson's built my last set and did an excellent job.... Fast, cheap and, six months later, they're still true.

Spa cycles Harrogate. Check out other forums inc ctc. I'm waiting for a pair to be finished, good price and built by people who know wheels. The lads rides fixy everyday from the Dales to the shop.
IMO Steve at Woodrup/Bob Jackson would sell you anything. Nice enough bloke but... just my opinion

I had a set build by Woodrup, they used the wrong size spokes and used deep section nipples to compensate.
Build was rubbish never right.
May just be bad luck but I wouldn't use them again.

Get over to Castleford & have Gary Proud build you a pair - Kendell Cycles - just perfect.

are there any leeds locals who can rebuild a wheel set? It's from an old road bike and spokes are beginning to snap, so it's not worth spending a fortune on it...
