Hi everybody, I'm new here. I am hoping to build a flip-flop free/fixed bike these summer holidays. I will probs post later, asking for advice on stuff.

Just out of interest, has anybody here build a flip-flop bike from scratch for under £200? I ask that because I am still at school and I don't have much to spend.

That's doable if you aren't in a rush. Buy an old road bike with horizontal drop outs off ebay (£50-100) an put a new rear wheel (£50-100) in. Bingo.

For the wheel you'll want to look into a Formula/Zenith/SJS Cycles hubs (all the same, just different lables) and a Mavic CXP22 or Rigida DP18.
