i've had 'clicks' in my spds, its usually the bearings when your applying lots of force, i.e. when your going uphill. . .
either buy a new pair/return them or get the bearings serviced, sometimes with SPDs you get poorly made bearings in them, i did when i got mine and they clicked from the beginning
