First time buying chips...

I've read around on a couple of old threads and settled on a pair of
Cod style fish - £3 including batter
Chips (Large) - £1.80 including salt and vinegar
-£4.80

I'm looking to spend £5 or under, could any point me in the right direction of what chips i should get?
