+1 for Lezyne pumps. The small ones fit in a jersey pocket. But unlike many other tiny pumps... they actually work! It's amazing how shit some other expensive minipumps are.

When I'm not carrying a Zefal HPX frame pump (the daddy of all frame pumps - will get a tub up to 160psi, no problem) I carry one of these:
It's good because it's got a T handle that folds out so your hand doesn't ache. I'm no body-builder, but I once pumped my partner's tyre up with it and when we got home, she went to top it up it on the track pump and saw it was already at 120psi.
Recommended.

I've got one of those little blackburns. Great pump

I've got a medium Lezyne Pressure Drive: it's very reassuring looking! I've only used it a couple of times but it was pretty quick (and I'm a weakling!)
Lezyne make some vague claims about their pumps, e.g. "20% more pumping power than most frame pumps" for the 'road drive', and "inflates to riding pressure quicker with 30% fewer strokes than conventional pumps" for the 'pressure drive'. Can anyone who actually has one shed light on the basis for these claims? From the little I can find out online they look like very shiny but otherwise completely conventional single-acting pumps.
edit:
I feel this thread needs a link to the mini-pumps thread. The second page has one of GA2G's lists. -

Am I going to do a little test of my pumps you mean?
The answer is no.

I wasn't expecting scientific testing, just wondering if through using or dismantling* your pump you'd noticed any features that could be the basis for such claims.

I quite regularly break pumps! Park and Topeak track pumps have let me down! Silca Superpista ftw.
Lezyne are a bit 'fatter' than regular mini pumps.

When I get mine, I plan to test it. so I can let you know how that goes. If I give it, say, 200 pumps and then check the pressure - then at least I know what I need to do if I get a flat while I'm out.

Well, I didn't like to say... :)

By the way. I got some cheapo Bontrager inner tubes in a hurry from my LBS a couple of weeks ago and they're both dead already....

Ride a metre out from the curb, especially your rear wheel ;0) and keep a decent tyre pressure

My tip of the day on this subject - check the tools you are carrying actually do the job you intend to use them for.
I tried to take my rear wheel off earlier using a cheap and nasty 8 way spanner. All I succedded in doing was bending the spanner beyond repair. That's now in the bin and a man size 15mm ring spanner has joined my tool kit.

all hail the 15mm ring spanner ! best thing since sliced bread (at least in my bikey world)
