At the moment, on quite a lot of points I have to agree with Jaygee, since I have got the 605 it has been nothing but trouble, I havent had crashes as such - (except 10 miles out of Dunwich when it went apeshit and now I cant get my history file off of the bloody thing as its corrupt gahhh!) But the whole recalculating routes thing takes forever. As Scott says the only difference with teh 705 is cadence and heart rate - which I dont need.
I used to have a 205 and loved it, it didnt have the maps on it, but with preplanned routes it always got me where I needed to go - no spending ages to recalculate, if you went off course it just told you to turn back. I'm from the camp of people that if I'm doing a long ride I will plan it beforehand, rather than rely on the garmin to direct me there anyway.
I'm seriously looking at selling my 605 and going back to a 205 at the moment, they seem to go for aroun £100 on the bay. So if anyone wants to try/buy my 605 it may be for sale shortly.
When the 605 came out I had very high hopes - all the great things I had on my 205 but with maps! Sadly I am very disappointed in it.
