Le Tour

I am thinking of organising a nice day of tour watching on Saturday 25th July to watch Stage 20: Montelimar to Ventoux...maybe in a pub or community hall type place.

Not only can we all watch the tense and WELL exciting stage but we can play the new drinking game I invented: every time sean kelly says "certaintly" we drink a shot! ace.

What do people think? up for it?

You should get over to liverpool, kick those scouse asses and then give them an education in watching stage racing on TV. Getting them to pronounce "allez" without it sounding like "our liz" may be an issue...

I'd be there if i wasn't on the 24.

oh is it? shit didn't realise.. that's a shame...but can't really ask the tour to rearrange!..I reckon there will be quite a few not going to lpool esp the roadies..non? what do people think?

Get chickin to make sure that there's somewhere to watch it after and that the bar will show it. Jammy's probably your man for gettin it sorted quick though.

Ask them to change the start time to earlier if it's gonna clash. Chickin says the race is gonna be an epic one. Gutted I'm missin it. Maybee too much hassle??

You'll have to get over to Yorkshire with us sometime, as the ride round the dales we did on Saturday is probably the most enjoyable ride I've ever done.

Oh and should be easy enough to sort a pub telly for the Ventoux stage as there's no football or test cricket that day.

yeah I was just wondering whether we could do a ride over but maybe changing their schedule, getting people over there and finding somewhere there would just be more trouble than it's worth.
if anyone has an idea of pubs or community centres please post them..should we try for a place we can drink our own booze or is a pub ok?
