Why are riders falling or going off course?

Do the front ends of these TT bikes not move as quick or far as a road bike?

None of them seem to have the sense to put risers on their TT bikes.

It because they are pushing the bike which is built for straight line speed around a bumpy road with lots of nasty corners as fast as they dare.

Yeah, I imagine most of the team are'nt regular TT'ers. Yet need to try to keep up with the more experianced guys to post the best team speed.

Also, I still don't understand Cav's overall position. He won 2 stages and was only 3mins behind on the TT, so why is he so far down in the leaderboard and so many hours behind?
