I know that the stock fuji track comes with a flip flop rear hub, but does anyone know if there is a freewheel cassette already there, or do you have to buy it seperately?
-
• #1453
i bought mine separately. 16t then an 18t as i am a wimp
-
• #1454
doesn't mean you're a wimp if you brought an 18t cog, just mean you're smart.

Unfortunately Velosolo didn't have any 17/18 in stock, and it'll take another 4(!) weeks before they do, any other suggestions of shops?
Seems like some people prefers the 18 instead of the 17, is there a big difference?

17 = prime number = highest number of skid patches

Did you have an luck m8.
Gave them a call, no luck only have the 09. seem like cool guys there though pretty helpful.
everywhere seems to be saying the same thing now
Phoned holcross, they seemed offended for some reason that i was asking about 08 model i quote the guy on the phone (adopts rude patronising tone 'No we're half way through 2009 now so No') Just a suggestion but how about taking the ad off the site then!.
winstanley only have 49cm and will not be getting any more stock, Biddle say on there home page they have three 61cm left in the sale but you cant seem to buy them (i think this is just an old ad that hasnt been taken down) im stuck now.is the bike discontinued or something?
its kind of annoying because ive been considering the purchase for a while and saving the money, now i have the money theres no stock!
Cheers for your help though man appreciate it.
Any more suggestions.

Doesn't mean you're a wimp if you bought an 18t cog, just means you're unfit.

First time poster here. Apologies in advance for the nth sizing question.
I'm thinking about ordering a Fuji track from Evans as my introduction to fixed gear but I'm still unsure on what frame size to choose.
I was pretty much set on a 58cm up until I read the last posts on this thread, see I'm about the same size as fellow newcomer 'gatsmart', towering at 192cm (6.3 ft with 36" inseam) and apparently the 61cm would be best suitted.
Needless to say that my whole perspective is now shattered...especially since there's a 100 quid difference between the 2009 58cm at Evans and the 2008 61cm at Holcros.I know that height/inseam are not the only determining factors and that I should probably try the different sizes but it's not an option as I live in Belgium.
I have the idea that a frame a little too small would be better than a frame too big especially since I'm looking for a more straight riding position/responsive bike in an urban surrounding (Brussels).
But I'm quite the noob so if any of you Fuji owners within the same height range would care to chime in that'd be great.
THANKS IN ADVANCE.

would an Alien cog fit the Fuji bike?
Just ordered the fuji 09 from evans, hopefully arriving in Sweden sometime next week, can't wait.

no-idea- i have an 06 fuji track in 58. im 6' 2" and have the seat up a fair bit. it fits me fine but if i were to get another, id be tempted to try a 60. id be concerned that a 60 might have too long of a reach for my arms even if it were perfect for my legs, so id have to sit on one to see what it felt like. a diffrent length stem might help with the arm reach.
i reckon youd probably want a 60 if your a bit bigger than me, but dont take my word for it, find one to sit on!

I'm 6'2" and ride a 61, but I like a long and low position. If you prefer a more upright position, get a 58 and just have more seatpost showing.
-
• #1472
I'm 6'3''
and ride a 58cm, and its fine for me, seat is medium/high and some bullhorn bars for a bit of extra reach, i think the 61cm looks/feels too lanky
-
• #1473
I am 6'1'' and i ride a 61cm but that only due to me being 16 and still have alot more gorwing to do.

• #1474
Haha, i now own this frame, and it looks like this...
i started out with just the frame though so not really upgraded, just gone for a custom build.
Edit: Just realised that photo was taken before i changed the pedals and chain and built my new back wheel which is a DA high flange on an OpenPro CD
what forks that?
