I love the way the podium announcers pronounce "Cavendish"

Is anyone happy about the return of team TT to the event?

Columbia have depth of talent, and yet lack the infighting / politics seen elsewhere in the peleton, credit therefore goes to the unity of the team riders, under race orders perhaps.
where did Contador finish?? shocking Astana tactics.. you would think he was a bit more savvy.. he's probably saving himself for Barcelona stage 7..
team time trial tomorrow.. HTC Columbia vs Garmin Slipstream.. this will be impressive..

Was great from the breakaway until the end. Finally got Eurosport working - still don't think they've cut to ads yet, since before the break. Shame the audio/video tends to drift out of sync. Might be a Mac thing.

Caught the last few kilometres on Eurosport .. was distracted from the tour by less important things like finding a job.
I was just looking for cav .... and thinking is Cav in that lead group? Then I saw the green and the finish was a cracker. Loved it.

It is good to have variety in the tour IMHO.. 5th rider finish posts the time, I believe..
the course is a bit urban, some flat sections, twists, rolls, turns.. putting teams through technical and discipline hurdles, it will be great..

Great work by Columbia.
Evans clearly not a happy bunny.

The Columbia GC contenders apparently aren't likely to do anything big after injuries and sickness so they are all riding for Cav and stage wins.
-

You take your opportunities as they arise. Colombia got rid of many of Cavendish's rivals, thus improving the chances in a sprint and increased his lead in the green jersey competition. Neither Boonen or Freire have scored points yet, which makes it very hard for them to challenge.

ITV4's coverage of the tour is miles better than eurosport.
-
• #263
is it? ive just been watching eurosport becuase its in HD and has less adverts than ITV. i might give itv a go tommorow.
does columbia have anyone capable of challenging the GC? its great that cav is doing well, but we all know he can only do so much.
good to see lance up at the front, but really i wanted to see cancellara make a move at the 1km mark and beat the sprinters to the line.

is there anywhere on the net to watch highlights in the evening?
-
• #265
I was under the impression I could watch the ITV highlights on the web (itv4 live). Seems not. What a load of shite.

I'm with your colleague. I think Astana are going to take it by a few seconds.
