i only wore those shoes in case all my batteries (and spares) packed up. anyone who crashed into the back of me would have a lot of explaining to do ;)
oh, and hippy I couldn't help but do a nice long skid as I pulled in at the food stop. i am sure most people were bemused as i reckon 99.9% of the DDers this year were on gears.
