Thanks, I pmed him already this morning, but he does not have some...
I also quickly checked ebay.fr, there were a couple of vintage stuff, but seller woudl not specify if french thread or not... I did not send any request, I'm going to France in 9 days, I'd rather not rely on international ebay, not enough time...

veLLo, french threaded pedals are all over french ebay. It's usually not worth buying them because of the high shipping costs, but if you have an address to ship to in France, you should be golden.
...if you want to do some smuggling on the way back, let me know! I need a couple pairs of french threaded pedals as well.

Thanks a million to JD, I found some pedals... Justin you really saved my life, I should be able to ride that bike this saturday!!!
Ktz, I checked french ebay last week, I agree there are some, but not as much as you say I'm afraid, and most of the ones I could see were described as "old pedals" and I just assumed they were french threaded, but it was not specified by the seller... as I am in a hurry anyway, I did not really have time to go thru ebay, wait for the end of an auction, email the seller, etc... I'm sorted know and more than happy that I did not have to go thru ebay's pain in the rear end process...
Anyway if you're after some, I might come accross local bike shops in France this saturday, so I can ask (although I am very pessimistic that they will have some, I've been there in the past)... pm me if you want me to try for you, although I can't really promise you it will be a success!Szia

@Loic - Im def still after some, but im afraid i might have been a little late on the message! (thanks for the offer though). I currently have 2 sets of french cranks without pedals and 2 sets that could use some new pedals, all french threaded.
El D. - you have any Lyotard (Berthoud or rat trap style, looking for both) pedals by chance? the pedals thread isnt usually marked on the pedal itseld sadly, usually was just on the box. If you have a standard 9/16 crank arm, the french threaded pedals will fit in, but would feel loose. Also if you see 14 x 125 on the pedals anywhere, that's a dead giveaway.

Oooh Chars!
I have French threaded pedals x 2 pairs! Lyotard, single sided, serrated upper with spike on the outer edge (as "real" pedals always did!). Condition is ok-ish outside, bearings are fine.
Offer me something £'s via pm and we're there, and can be posted, maybe picked up.
Hi all...
I have bought a french bike in France, which hopefully, if everything goes well, will be posted in "current projects" in the next 2 or 3 weeks.
The bike comes complete but with no pedals...
The seller just advised me that the stronglight cranks which I intend to keep were made for french threaded pedals.
I was advised that these can be easily re-threaded to the international size, and Putney cycle confirmed they could do it for me...
However, I am actually going to France to collect the bike, while visiting family. I will need to ride it over there so I need to find something before, as I might not find any on the same day in french bike shops...
If anyone had an old pair to sell me, something on which I can attach straps ideally, please let me know!!
Many thanks!
Loic
