Ok, I'm 'inserting myself' at number 18. It's my first ride. Will I need padded cycle shorts?

HANSON, this is not a list for a new ride, but one to determine who was who, from the picture further upthread. With a long thread like this, you would need to read a bit of it to understand what's going on. Or, for instance, did you not see the date in the thread title? What did you put in your diary after 'signing up'?
