Just got home.
I'm totally exhausted, and I just want to curl up and sleep. Can't believe I even considered riding back, getting to Ilford was hard enough.
For me the worst thing was the sleep deprivation and my saddle wasn't as comfy as I'd like it to be. I might invest in a Fizik Arione.
Supplies-wise I did fine, maybe could have done with some arm warmers as it was a bit chilly after the feed stop.
I had way too much food and carried home a peanut butter sandwich, a malt loaf, an energy bar and gel and some flapjack. Did eat a sausage roll, an energy bar, a banana, some flapjack and some soreen as well as a plate of pasta at the food stop.
Anyone who did ride home, you're a legend. I think clintsmoker had the right idea with turning back after the food stop, for a nice kip in a nice warm bed.
That said, seeing the sunrise was totally amazing and kept me going to the beach, which was drab.
